The Woodstock Nordic Center offers more than 45 km of skiing right in the town of Woodstock, VT on two trail systems. The Mount Peg trails begin on the golf course at the Woodstock Country Club and climb to the summit overlooking the village below. On nearby Mt. Tom, the Center grooms more than 20 km of trails on old carriage roads in the midst of Vermont's first tree farm and Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park. The Woodstock Inn & Resort, which operates the Nordic Center is a 142 room AAA four Diamond Resort in the heart of Woodstock. The town of Woodstock is the quintessential New England town with a wonderful collection of restaurants and shops.

The Nordic Center operation is open 7 days a week, from 9 AM – 4 PM (subject to change based on snow conditions). With the extensive network of winter trails throughout Mount Peg and Mount Tom, the Woodstock Inn & Resort Nordic Center offers more than 45 km of groomed trails for skate and classic XC skiing, as well as several trails left in their natural state for backcountry skiing. In addition to groomed skiing, more than 15 km of trails are left in their natural state for backcountry skiing and snowshoeing. The Nordic Center also welcomes fatbike riders on all of its trails and hosts a weekly Wednesday night group ride (weather permitting) . XC ski, snowshoe rentals, and fatbike rentals; winter clothing, ski gear, accessories and trail passes are all available at the Nordic Center.

Woodstock Inn & Resort has designed a series of winter adventure-themed vacation packages built around the Nordic Center. From romantic to adventurous, the value-packed getaways are designed for an exhilarating way to experience the peace and tranquility of Woodstock in winter.

Additionally, the Nordic Center features expert-led tours, group teambuilding exercises, and family-friendly scavenger hunts. Every Saturday (weather permitting) lunch is served at the resort’s cozy cabin in the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park.

Season passes, day passes, rental equipment, and lessons are available. All day trail fee is $25 for adults and there are lower fees for children and seniors. Rentals of skis or snowshoes including poles range from $20 to $30 for adults and $18 for children (aged 5-17). Private lessons are $75 per hour (additional participants are $35) not including rentals.

At the Woodstock Inn & Resort authentic New England craftsmanship greets guests at every turn, seamlessly combining Vermont’s charming, old-world style with elegant, modern touches. Nearby alpine skiing and snowboarding can be found at Suicide Six Ski Area. Other winter and summer recreational activities abound in the region, which includes Simon Pearce handcrafted glassware and pottery and the Quechee Gorge.

Directions: Woodstock is conveniently located with nearby access to I-89 (heading north to Burlington, VT south to New Hampshire and Boston) and I-91 (heading south to Hartford).
