Weston Ski Track in Weston, MA is just outside of Boston and is known for snowmaking, night skiing, rentals, lessons, programs, and a retail outlet for ski products and snacks.

The trails are open from 9 AM - 6 PM on weekends and holidays, and Mon-Thur 10 AM - 9 PM, and on Fridays 10 AM- 6 PM. There are 15 km of trails for classic and skate skiing. Night skiing is offered on a regular schedule for recreation and fitness.

Snowmaking is key for the Weston Ski Track and this is one of the xc ski areas that has been doing it for the longest time. They've invested in new snowmaking equipment this year and can make snow when it is below freezing. The snow covers the terrain and is groomed out with a snowcat to create the maintained trails.

Trail passes are $13 for adults and $11 for teens aged 13-18, seniors or military; and $8 for juniors aged 6-12. Evening hours at lower priced. There are discounts for seniors older than 65 and kids under 6 ski for free.

Rental equipment is available for xc skiing with the same age categories as trails passes $22 adults; $12 aged 2-12; $16 aged 13-16; $18 for seniors and military. Skating equipment is $23 for adult; $13 for kids; $17 for teens; $19 for seniors/military. Snowshoe rentals are $22 adult;, $12 for kids; $16 for teens, and $18 for seniors/military.

Ski lessons are $30 for a beginner adult or teen and $25 for juniors; seniors and military. There is a package that includes the trail pass, lesson, and rental for $64 for adults, $48 for teens, and $44 for kids, $53 for seniors or military. Beginner skate lessons are $25 for all and packages with rental and pass are $65 for adult, $45 for kids, $49 for teen and $52 for senior/military.

Weston Ski Track also has a ski shop and there are free ski waxing clinics.

Directions: On the Greenline (D Train) to Riverside. Cross the parking lot; make a right onto Grove St.; Cross Route 128 and make the 4th right on Pine Grove Avenue. Then a right on Concord Street and cross the Charles River. Weston Ski Track is on the right.

From Boston take the Mass Pike to exit 15. Stay left and at the end of the ramp turn left on to Park Road following signs to Route 16. A quarter of a mile down the road on the left. From the south, Route 128 North to exit 21 (Route 16) and left at the end of the ramp. At the 2nd set of lights, turn right on Concord St. Go one mile up the road on the right. CCSAA member.
