The Okanagan Valley is 22 km from Vernon, BC which is only a half hour drive from Kelowna International Airport. The region lies amidst three lakes with the Okanagan Lake stretching 200 km in length and the Kalamalka Lake, which is a beautiful jade-green color. The valley is known for its wineries and orchards, mild winters, and hot summers.

Sovereign Lakes Nordic Centre has a trail system which has 50 km of groomed and track-set skiing heaven with several warming huts along the way. This trail network has upgraded for World Cup races with new and wider trails, expanded lighting and parking. Sit-skis, and baby pulks are available to rent. Lessons and guided snowshoe tours are available and there is a unique Ski Host program with volunteer guides taking guests around the trails of their choice. Sovereign Lakes Nordic Centre boasts early season snow and a 4,000 square foot day lodge. CCSAA member

Silver Star Mountain Resort is a full service self-contained resort community combined iwth an alpine ski resort featuring a Victorian village and friendly staff. There is 60 km of groomed xc skiing and the trails are fith outside your door. Part of the the National High Altitude Training Center, Silver Star's xc ski trails attract skiers from around the world. Many of them are Olympic athletes in training. The Silver Star network of trails is adjacent to and connected to Sovereign Lakes. CCSAA member
