is in Truckee, CA km with 115 km trails groomed for classic and skate
skiing in a wide variety of extensive terrain. There is 1,307 vertical,
49 trails on 3 track systems with 5 warming huts. Tahoe Donner is
an association of property owners on 6,000 acres with 2 ski areas,
restaurants, golf course, equestrian center and campground.
The area's day lodge is the place to meet and it has the Alder Creek Cafe, which offers an eclectic menu with homecooked meals, veg meals, microbrews, and California wines. The Euer Valley Cookhouse is 3.5 km from the Day Lodge and it has soups, baked goods, and sandwiches.
Trail
fees are $22 for an adult, $17 for senior (60-69) and free for under
13 or 70 and older. There are lower trail fees and rentals at 1 PM.
The learn-to-ski package with rental and trail pass is $46 for a 90
minute group lesson or $25 without the gear. Private lessons are $40
for an hour and $17 for each additional person. Kids get 2 hours of
instruction, snow play, and supervision in the Old West Kiddie Korral
with rental gear, snack, and hot drink. One session (AM 10-12 or PM
12-2) is $30 and two sessions or all day is $45 including lunch.
Rentals
are available with all day gear at $20 and under 12 year olds for $12.
Half day rentals are $16 and $9 for kids. Demos are $26 for the day
and $22 for a half day.
The Barkeater is an easy trail along the Prosser Creek for diagonal striders and the selection is incredible at Tahoe Donner with 16 beginner trails, 24 intermediate, 5 advanced, 1 expert, 1 wilderness, and 2 snowshoe. For a complete description of each trail, click Trail List.

Directions: Take Interstate 80 from the east or west and the Donner State Park exit, 1/2 mile to the stoplight, turn north on Northwood Blvd. and follow Tahoe Donner signs for 5 miles, turn right on Fjord and left on Alder Creek. CCSAA member
