is 5 miles outside of Running Springs in the San Bernardino
Mountains across from Snow Valley Mountain Resort making it the
closest cross country ski area to the southern CA metro area. Only
1.5 hours from Los Angeles and Orange County and 2.5 hours from
San Diego, Rim Nordic has spectacular scenery at 6,775 feet of elevation.
There are about 20 km of trails groomed for classic and skate skiing
and this includes 2 separate trails for snowshoers. Trail fees are
$19 for an adult, or $12 for youth, and free for child 10 and under;
half day (12:30 PM) is $15 for adult and $10 for youth.
Lessons are offered to all ages with group instruction at $15 per person or $30 for a private lesson. Learn to ski packages (includes rental equipment, trail pass, and lesson) are $45 for an adult and $25 for youth aged 6-10 (if class available). Lessons are available on weekends and during the weekdays, please call in advance to schedule. Skate lessons require advance reservations. Lesson prices do not include the trail pass fee.
XC ski equipment rental is available for $17 with half day prices at $12. Snowshoes are $17 to rent. Prices for xc ski or snowshoe rentals for youth under age 10 is $10 per day or $8 after 12:30 PM. Snowshoers must purchase a trail pass to use the Rim Nordic trails.
